Commercial, Litigation
Christopher was born and raised in Jersey. He studied law at Oxford prior to being called to the Bar in the UK in 1983. Christopher was sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 1987. He is married with three sons and is a governor of Victoria College.
Christopher specialises in company law, Trust law and securitisation. However, he is also an active member of the Viberts litigation team taking the view that a commercial lawyer must keep in touch with court work to ensure that advice given allows a client’s position to be presented in a favourable light before court if a dispute arises in the future.
Christopher attends and speaks at conferences and lectures widely. He speaks fluent French and consequently has acted for numerous private individuals and commercial organisations based in France.
"I love the bustle and the comings and goings of harbours, especially Gorey now that the ferry to France is running once again. My skills as a mariner leave much to be desired, and approaching Gorey from the sea I am easily distracted. As the angle changes so the massive bulk of Mont Orgueil is revealed. For every Jersey person it’s a symbol of home."
