Advocate Christopher Scholefield
Partner
Commercial, Litigation
Christopher was born and raised in Jersey. He studied law at Oxford prior to being called to the Bar in the UK in 1983. Christopher was sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 1987. He is married with three sons and is a governor of Victoria College.
Christopher specialises in company law, trust law and securitisation. However, he is also an experienced litigator, taking the view that a commercial lawyer must keep in touch with court work to ensure that advice given allows a client’s position to be presented in a favourable light if a dispute arises in the future.
Christopher attends and speaks at conferences and lectures widely. He speaks fluent French and consequently has acted for numerous private individuals and commercial organisations based in France.
