Emma Hollywood joined Viberts in June 2021 as a Senior Associate in the Family Law team.
She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2001. She worked in private practice, specialising in private family law matters, including Children Act proceedings, divorce matters, non molestation injunctions. Emma returned to Jersey and worked for the Attorney General at the Law Officers Department.
Emma was called as a Jersey Advocate in 2008 and appointed as the Advocate to represent the Minister for Children’s Service and Education – specialising in conducting complex high profile multi sibling public law cases. In 2010 Emma appeared before the Court of Appeal in the seminal case of F and G  JCA 051 which is still today seen as a leading authority on public law matters.
In 2010 she was appointed as a Crown Advocate, representing the Attorney General on serious prosecutions in the Royal Court. Emma was appointed a Senior Legal Adviser in 2018 and prosecuted high profile cases in the Royal Court. She successfully secured convictions on serious sexual offences on adults and children following jury trials and in December 2020 received an award from the States of Jersey Police for leading a complex serious sexual offence prosecution to a successful outcome.
