Lara joined the corporate department in early 2015, having previously worked at large local law firm. Lara’s practice encompasses general corporate and commercial law, and has particular experience in corporate restructurings including continuances, reinstatements and mergers of Jersey companies. Lara has also worked on share sale and purchase transactions and regularly provides Jersey law legal opinions on banking related matters and general company law advice.

Lara is also part of the employment law team and provides employment advice to both employees and employers alike on a variety of employment related claims including discrimination, unfair dismissal, compromise agreements and business reorganisation and redundancy.

In addition to her normal day to day practice, Lara’s work at Viberts has also touched on planning and licensing matters, share transfer property sales and purchases and also the provision of independent legal advice to refinancing clients. More recently Lara has gained some court experience from assisting the litigation team and was involved in the case of MacFirbhisigh & others v. CITE & others.

Lara completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School in May 2016, gaining a distinction overall. She qualified as an English solicitor in April 2018.

Outside of work Lara loves to travel and also enjoys horse riding.

Lara was seconded to State Street Jersey’s in-house legal team in 2014 for a four month period where she gained valuable experience of working in-house.

Mr L Piotrowski v. Blueprint Signs and Garments 42/2013 6 May 2014 – Lara appeared on behalf of the company and successfully defended an unfair dismissal claim.
