We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Conveyancer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to play a key role in our busy and well-established Property Department. Your role will be to provide specialist advice and assistance to a caseload of clients on all property-related matters, including attending on-site and in court in order to progress matters accurately and in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, from instruction to completion.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on property-related matters, including leases, sales, purchases, and developments.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, title reports, and conveyances.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, ensuring compliance with local property laws and regulations.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support where required.
- Maintain a high level of client care, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the transaction process.
Key requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in conveyancing, preferably in Jersey or a similar jurisdiction.
- In-depth knowledge of Jersey property law and procedures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage a diverse caseload.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Exceptional client-facing and communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn other relevant software packages as required in the role.
