Jane Wise
Legal Assistant
Supporting clients with personal injury and clinical negligence claims
Jane joined Viberts’ Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team as a Legal Assistant in March 2026. She has extensive experience handling personal injury and clinical negligence claims, supporting clients through what can often be difficult and life-changing circumstances.
Helping clients through personal injury and clinical negligence claims
Jane works with clients bringing claims and those defending them, covering a wide range of injuries, from less serious injuries to catastrophic, life-changing injuries, including serious brain and spinal injuries. Having worked on both sides of litigation, she understands the different perspectives involved and uses this experience to provide practical, balanced and informed support.
Jane also brings valuable insight from her earlier career in insurance, where she spent 13 years before moving into the legal profession in 2000. Between April 2012 and October 2013, she was part of the team at Mourant Ozannes responsible for administering the Historic Abuse Redress Scheme on behalf of the States of Jersey.
What clients value
Clients value Jane’s compassionate, client-focused approach and her ability to explain matters clearly. She understands that pursuing or defending a claim can be challenging, particularly when serious injuries or sensitive personal circumstances are involved. She provides guidance and support tailored to each client’s situation, whatever the size or complexity of the claim.
